What job role have you secured?

    How did you find your time on the bootcamp?

      It was so much better than I expected! It was well structured and I learnt so much from the tutors and my peers. 

      What were you doing before the bootcamp?

        I was a Support Engineer at Pugpig.

        What made you interested in moving into tech?

          I’ve always been interested in tech, I used to work in hospitality, and during Covid I decided to do a university degree in Computing part-time in the evenings. 

          However I found that it didn’t give me any practical experience coding in the real world. So I finished the degree last year but didn’t feel confident applying to more technical support roles that involved code changes. 

          What made you choose Northcoders?

            I’d heard great things about Northcoders, and someone I knew who worked at Pugpig was a career changer who’d done the bootcamp and got a dev role, so I knew it worked!

            What was the support like on the course?

              The support was great, from the careers team to the tutors everyone was really friendly and helpful. I always felt like I could reach out with questions.

              What support did you receive from Northcoders with your job search?

                I received great help with my CV, but I had started applying early so by the time careers week came I already had interviews and was securing the role at Granola. 

                What advice would you give to anyone thinking about applying?

                  Go for it!
