Gigs are better when they’re free.
Giggle allows you to connect with fellow gig-goers who share your style of outing, no matter how big or small the artist. Share tickets among the Giggle user base – strictly no reselling! Just sharing music and art to build community and support local venues. Users will be able to view upcoming events, who’s going and who’s sharing tickets. They can list their own tickets that are up for grabs and claim tickets for events they are interested in. Users have a profile which details their preferences for gig outings: moshing, singing, filming etc. They can see other users profiles before claiming tickets and message them to ask about available tickets, arrange to meet or even just chat about their favourite artists. Born out of mutual love of music and hatred of ticket scalpers making gigs more difficult to attend.

I previously worked as a Machine Learning Technician at GTC-UK, using GIMP to process CAD drawings for ML training.
Tech Stack

We used Javascript, Typescript, Express, MongoDB, Mongoose, React Native, SocketIO, Jest Wanted to challenge ourselves with new languages, non-relational databases and building apps direct for mobile.
Challenges Faced
Working in an agile environment, which for some team members was the first time. Getting to used to using Github as a team and working through merge conflicts together. Setting up several new technologies at once and working out how they intersect and interact with each other. Socket IO in particular felt the most different to anything we had learnt, and probably posed the single biggest challenge.
