Web Developer at Thinkroomten.
3. Are you enjoying your role?
Yes, I love being paid to do my passion. Before I got my first job after the bootcamp, I was writing code every day as a hobby, so it feels great that my hobby is now my job.
4. How did you find your time on the bootcamp?
I learnt so much more than I expected in 3 months and graduated feeling genuinely job-ready. The course is fast-paced and challenging, but the tutors are always supportive and there to help if you need a push in the right direction. You don’t just learn how to code; you learn how to solve problems, work in teams, and build real projects.

5. What were you doing before the bootcamp?
Before the bootcamp I was bored and unfulfilled working in sales.
6. What made you interested in moving into tech?
I wanted a career where I could keep growing, be challenged, and create things that actually matter. Once I started exploring coding, it just clicked, and the perks are great such as remote working and high pay.
7. What made you choose Northcoders?
I was searching for Software Bootcamps and a lot of them felt like scams. I had read lots of great reviews regarding Northcoders, and I loved that you have the option to go work from any of their hubs around the UK to be with other people doing the course.
8. What was the support like on the course?
The tutors were amazing. They are really great at teaching the course and they are always happy to help and super friendly. If you’re stuck, they don’t just give you the solution, they walk through and explain things so you get to the solution together, having learnt why.
9. How much support did you receive from Northcoders with your job search after the course?
There is a specific job page that you get access to once graduating, and there is also career guidance where you can do interview preparation and CV reviews.
10. Do you think that Northcoders prepared you well for your role?
Definitely, 100%. They give everything you need to be job-ready after the bootcamp, and you can join a team and actually be able to add value straight away.
11. What advice would you give to anyone thinking about applying?
Stop thinking about it and apply. As long as you put in the work, you will leave the bootcamp as a competent software developer. It’s one of the best decisions I made. I will always be thankful to Northcoders for helping me land my first role in tech.
