Hi Istvan! What did you think of your bootcamp?
I wish I’d discovered Northcoders sooner. I spent years learning as a self taught developer and had a year of commercial experience in TypeScript fullstack development. When I returned to the job market, I found it difficult to get interviews in the tough market we have today. I joined the C# Enterprise Engineering bootcamp to extend my skills, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made.
The course was very well organised, with intensive daily lectures, pair programming and testing. It helped me understand object oriented programming and build stronger programming fundamentals.
After graduation, I really missed the daily lectures, the tutors and the team. We built strong friendships between students during the course, and four months later, we’re still talking to each other.
How did you find the support with your job search?
The support with preparing for the job market made a big difference. My CV was reviewed almost every two weeks until we got it right. When I started applying after graduation, I noticed the difference immediately through responses and interview invitations.
Before Northcoders, I wasn’t getting any interviews. Afterwards, I had several, reached the final stages in a few hiring processes and secured a fullstack developer role.
Lastly, what advice would you give to anyone thinking about applying?
If you’re considering Northcoders, even with some coding experience already, I’d really recommend it. I gained stronger skills, friendships and the support I needed to take the next step in my career.
