How did you find your time on the bootcamp?

My time at Northcoders was amazing, I learned a lot, made friends and had fun while building a new career. Northcoders is one of those places that when you get there, you don't want to leave, a place where it's fine to be wrong, to ask many times the same question because there is such a great support that you would never feel alone...

What were you doing before the bootcamp and what made you apply?

I left a country that was destroyed by wrong politics, where my dreams were almost impossible to achieve, when I arrive to UK I was determined to be the best version of myself. I had two jobs: I was working at Sport Direct stores as a sales assistant 4 days a week and also was a music teacher in 2 primary schools 2 days of the week. Always with the idea of studying a full career in the university in Computer Science.

What was the support like on the course?

I always had the most weird questions trying to understand things that weren't always obvious, at Northcoders there is always someone that can give you the answer you are looking for, or even better they can help you to find it yourself.

How much support did you receive from Northcoders with your job search after the course?

When the time came when I was ready to get apply for a job, Northcoders was ready to support me. To be honest they do almost everything for you, they have a board with job options, you choose the ones you like, they put you forward with the company and get you an interview, then in the interview is your time to show what you are and you've learned. If you did your homework the chances are really high, so it's basically a secure job after graduating.

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about applying?

Based in my mistakes, my advice would be leave your normal life only for 3 months, put your heart, soul and mind everyday live for the course, go the extra mile, finish everything that you can finish and do research in everything that you see that you don't know. If you do that I can guarantee you will feel amazing and you will also get a really nice job.

Anything else you would like to add?

Before Northcoders I had no idea how to write any code, not even how programs work. I had no idea where to start learning code, I am so grateful that I found them and that they were brilliant since day 1. Thank you for everything you did.
